Design Downtown Denton will update Denton's Downtown Plan, which was adopted in 2002, to guide the next generation of Downtown’s priorities, including parks and open space, mobility, development, housing, arts and culture, historic preservation, and to create connections to and opportunities for Downtown's neighboring communities.

In the first phase of the project, our team conducted research into Downtown Denton's strengths, challenges, and opportunities, while also conducting robust outreach to and engagement with the Downtown community. That research has been summarized in a video that communicates the Case for Action in Downtown, which can be viewed on the right!

Utilizing the research shown in the Case For Action and the results of public engagement, Community Priorities have been developed to guide the recommendations.
