Over the past 4 months, the project team conducted various engagement events to hear from the West St. Paul community. Your thoughts on the current system and ideas and desires for the future of parks and recreation in the City will be used as the project team begins to develop recommendations for the final plan.

In April, the project team met with a group of stakeholder community members who represent a diverse range of the community of West St. Paul. The meeting was virtual, and consisted of a project overview, project timeline and scope, and a few exercises to discuss project goals, visions, concerns, and opportunities.

Between April 12 and May 5 of 2023, an online survey was available for the community to participate in regarding the community's thoughts, ideas, usage, and input they would like to provide to the project team at the beginning of the project process regarding the park and recreation system in West St. Paul. May 2023 Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee MeetingPDF (4.27 MB)
In May, the project team presented project updates and conducted an interactive project input exercise with West St. Paul's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC). The meeting was in-person during a regularly scheduled PRAC meeting on May 9th, held at the City Hall Council Chambers and broadcast live.
