Reimagine Brodie Lane

Project Overview

The City of Sunset Valley is undergoing a process to envision the future of Brodie Lane, a major commercial and transportation corridor within the City. The concepts developed in this project will be used to guide the design and construction of future improvements to Brodie Lane. The goal of this project is to create a vision for a complete and safe street that balances the needs of vehicular, bicycle, pedestrian, and Violet Crown Trail users. The conceptual design shall incorporate recommendations for standards relating to streetscape infrastructure, beautification, lighting, landscape, artistic elements, and more.

Understand & Engage

October 2023 - December 2023
The City and the project design team will be using your input, observations, and data to understand the needs of Brodie Lane and build a “Case for Action” that provides clarity on what needs to be achieved through design recommendations and strategies.

Vision & Engage

December 2023 - January 2024
A concept design for Brodie Lane will be developed using the input of City community members, visitors, and stakeholders. A second survey and virtual map will be created to solicit feedback on the proposed improvements.

January 2024 - March 2024
The project team will integrate community comments on the design and help the City set forth a plan for implementation of the proposed concept design.
